A special POCSO court in Pune has sentenced 65-year-old Bhimrao Kamble to death after convicting him in the abduction, sexual assault, and murder of a three-year-old girl in Nasrapur village.

The crime took place on 1st May, and the trial was completed in about 60 days through a fast-track process.

After the crime, Maharashtra CM Fadnavis announced that the state would pursue a fast-track trial and seek the maximum punishment under law.

Timely justice matters. Fast-track judicial proceedings can reduce unnecessary delays and strengthen public trust in the judicial system.
