My full take on the #StrayDogs issue ! As a pet parent who has 31 #StrayDogs my dogs are vaccinated we had them neutered & they wear reflective collars & are well fed. But we do this. Crores are given to the corporations that pocket these funds ! They should be held accountable! At the same time no person should be attacked by #StrayDogs specially those who are not vaccinated and have rabies ! Not a single human should die!! We need a middle path ! It is worrying what the #SupremeCourtofIndia has done. If the Hon'ble Supreme Court has to make laws suo motto, then why have a parliament or a state assembly

In a shocking move, the Supreme Court has ordered that all street dogs in Delhi, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon & Noida be permanently confined in pounds — with CCTV to ensure none are released.

The court has ignored Animal Birth Control rules, dismissed inputs from intervening parties, and even cited a Western movie dialogue to justify its stance.
All this, despite zero human rabies deaths recorded in Delhi in the past 3 years.

This is not just unscientific, it’s cruel and dangerous. If you care for street animals, now is the time to speak in one voice.

जहाँ बहुत से लोग हाल ही में दिल्ली आकर बसे हैं, वहीं ये समुदायिक कुत्ते पीढ़ियों से इसी क्षेत्र में रह रहे हैं। वे भी दिल्लीवासी हैं, हमारी ही तरह सिर्फ़ ज़िंदा रहने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं – और वे इस समुदाय का हिस्सा हैं।
खुशहाल समुदाय का समाधान 'नसबंदी' है, 'विस्थापन' नहीं। नसबंदी पहले से जन्मे कुत्तों को जीवन का एक बेहतर अवसर देती है और मानव-पशु संघर्ष को कम करती है। पशुओं को भोजन कराने वाले लोग कुत्तों को दोस्ताना और खुशमिज़ाज बनाते हैं, जिससे उनकी पशु-चिकित्सकीय देखभाल में सहयोग करना आसान होता है। और, नसबंदी कर कुत्तों को उनकी मूल जगह पर वापस छोड़ना, Animal Birth Control (Dog) Rules, 2023 के तहत कानूनी रूप से अनिवार्य भी है।
