@astroscroll Perhaps it's not being turned off soon, but it was just turned on. Like 2 hours ago. And all our memories, all our history, everything we think we remember is just part of the background story the simulation starts us out with.
It's impossible to prove otherwise.
@DemonFramed This poor guy. I'm a guy on the shorter side of average, tend towards being overweight and also with bad skin, I can sympathize. Luckily I'm fairly good looking for my size and age and I have a wonderful wife and two kids whom I love to death, so there is hope out there.
This is because our ancestors have done 95% of the easy work to create civilization. All that's left to do is the really hard stuff, which most people aren't cut out for. And so they busy themselves with 'lifemaxxing' and 'gym' and 'looksmaxing' etc etc etc to feel like they're doing something important with their life. They're not.
@PerfectTowel@prieurdp Then why do I always have to wait for you goofballs to backup into spots two or three times before you get it straight when everyone else goes head first on the first try?
@KarsaOrlong_@prieurdp What job sites? I work for a living too and the only time I need to back in is when I have to get a load in or out of my truck like at a loading dock. Otherwise Iโm always parking front first.
Trucks I can kind of understand. But as someone who drives box trucks for a living, I donโt think you should ever be parking a large truck, not even a full size pickup, anywhere near other cars. They always stick out into the aisle making it difficult for vehicles around you to get in and out. Big trucks should park in the far corner of the parking lot where no other vehicles are around.
@z3mme@prieurdp Bro is clearly a product of our excellent education system and doesn't understand that backing into a 9' wide parking space is harder than backing out of one into a 25' wide aisle. Math is hard ๐๐๐
@prieurdp Iโve also noticed itโs almost universally jacked up knuckle dragger gym dudes who like to back into spots. I think itโs maybe some sort of homoerotic thingโฆhmmmโฆ๐ค
Yep so dumb. And for the people who claim it saves time or is safer, nope donโt buy it. Backing into a narrow space is much harder and slower than backing out into a wide open parking lot lane. And in the 35 years Iโve been driving Iโve never once had an accident in a parking lot while backing out of a space.
@SquatUniversity My dad was an Olympic style lifter back in the โ60โs and held several records in his weight class. Requires not just strength but speed, balance, and technique. This is true weightlifting, not the ridiculous knuckle dragging power lifting popular today.
@thevivafrei Does anyone actually live in the city proper? I donโt know anyoneโฆI know people that live in Burbank, Glendale, West Hollywood, Pasadena, etc but never met anyone that actually really lives in Los Angeles
