I have a contrarian take. The same IT services industry facing existential threat will rebrand itself into a AI services industry. And from the looks of it, they are already starting to do that. Hence, they will survive just fine but through cannibalizing their own business models

The AI revolution will not necessarily eliminate the IT services industry. It will destroy labour-intensive delivery models, force incumbents to cannibalise their existing businesses, and create a new AI services industry in which fewer people can deliver substantially more work. The industry may survive and grow even as its employment model, pricing structure and competitive hierarchy are radically transformed.

Its extremely funny to see a literal trillionaire be concerned about the poverty and poor and their access to internet. The same colonial lens as civilizing the natives. The way these guys along with their low self esteem lackeys in India look down on Indians is nauseating.

Moreover, this is standard silicon valley become monopoly, get a captive market play. He will subsidize a large portion of internet, maybe even free for few years and once he has the market, he can extract profit at all.

He cant do that with China because his companies are severely dependent on China for their supplies. And US and its elites believe China is a near peer competitor (which is true in a way) and mostly helped by the chinese psyops regarding the cities and the glitter (never mind these are ghost cities) and at the same time have a very colonial image of India especially due to X in last few years.

This also appears to be a coordinated attack on all fronts on Indian economy, Internet rights, Indian businessmen and leadership etc. Coordinated to have the maximum effect when the question is on elections and its fairness. I expect elon to take this megaphone and escalate this to questioning election integrity and the prrssure from all around to destablise the govt and trigger a regime change.
