Join the @devicetech da Vinci team at this year's USANZ ASM from 25-28 February in Melbourne. Our team will be at booth 31 to show you all the latest #RoboticSurgery technologies and techniques for urological care. #MedTwitter#Urology#USANZ#USANZ2023
Congratulations Dr Assad Zahid on the completion of the Colorectal Robotic Fellowship at the Sydney Adventist Hospital. After 12 months under the mentorship of Dr Stephen Pillinger, Dr Craig Lynch, and Dr Walid Barto, we look forward to seeing where your robotic career goes next.
20 years ago, we embarked on a journey to change the Australian and New Zealand healthcare market by revolutionising minimally invasive surgical technology with da Vinci Surgical robotics from #Intuitive. (1/4)
- this is all possible thanks to our incredible customers for trusting us and technology to put their patient outcomes first.
Unsurprisingly, we're only getting started - here's to another 20+ years of da Vinci robotics in Australia + New Zealand - and now Asia! (3/4)
We spoke to Gynaecological Oncologist and renowned Robotic Surgeon, Dr Felix Chan about his knowledge of ovarian cancer, and what changes need to happen in the field to see a decrease in cases. (3/4)
Often misdiagnosed, common symptoms include vague abdominal pain and swelling, persistent lower back ache, abnormal vaginal bleeding, persistent changes in bowel or bladder patterns, and unexplained weight loss**. (2/4)
This February is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month, and we want to spread the word about this silent but deadly disease. Each year, over 1700 Australians are expected to be diagnosed and only 50% of patients will live beyond five years of their diagnosis*. (1/4) @device_robotics
From 1995 to now, da Vinci robotic surgery has come a long way, from multiple prototypes to four generations of robotic assistive technologies helping surgeons and their patients across the globe.
This first patient side cart pictured in 1996 was only the beginning of the #Intuitive story, with the technology which was originally designed for the heart, moving beyond to other surgical applications including urology.
Dr Advincula will be sharing his experiences as a total practice surgeon and will also be attending the AGES ASM in Sydney.
