ভারতীয় সংবিধান আমাদের গণতন্ত্রের মুল ভিত্তি, এই সংবিধানকে পদদলিত করে সম্পুর্ন অগণতান্ত্রিক উপায়ে প্রশাসনকে কুক্ষিগত করে ১৯৭১ সালে ভোটে জয় লাভ করেন পূর্বতন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শ্রীমতী ইন্দিরা গান্ধী, যা এলাহাবাদ হাইকোর্টের রায়ে ১২ জুন, ১৯৭৫ সালে খারিজ হয়ে যায়। ৬ বছরের জন্য নির্বাচনে নিষিদ্ধ হন ইন্দিরা গান্ধী।

এই রায়কে বুড়ো আঙ্গুল দেখিয়ে ২৫ শে জুন, ১৯৭৫ এ দেশে ঘোষণা করা হয় জরুরি অবস্থা। লঙ্ঘিত হয় মানুষের গণতান্ত্রিক অধিকার। শুরু হয় দেশ জুড়ে প্রায় ২১ মাসের অবর্ণনীয় অত্যাচার।

এই অন্ধকারময় কালখন্ডকে স্মরণ করে আজ প্রদেশ বিজেপি আয়োজিত 'সংবিধান হত্যা দিবস 'এর কার্যক্রমে উপস্থিত সকলকে সম্বোধন করি।

Yesterday, chaired the 52nd PRAGATI meeting, during which we reviewed infrastructure works worth over Rs. 30,000 crore.
