You have no idea what you are talking about. There is no "basic" coverage per se. The difference is usually in-network versus out-of-network choice. In a "basic" plan, you need to use doctors within the specific network the insurance is affiliated with. In the "better" plans, you can go wherever you want. There is no wait, no drug restrictions, and quality of service is light-years ahead of most of Europe.
Do you know that many advanced drugs are not even sold in Europe because they are too expensive for the government's allocated budget?
The US healthcare system has lots of issues and plenty of room for improvement, but European universal healthcare is total bullshit: months to get a scan, subpar meds, shitty infrastructure, and very old machines. Anyone who can afford it always ends up going private in Europe. For the amount of taxes you pay and the service you get, you are getting fucked royally. I grew up there, btw.
@Annina_occhiblu@hispanicnomad You know the vast majority of Americans actually do not pay a dime for their health insurance right?Healthcare is included (including dental, etc) in your employment package. It's a pretty standard thing.
@EnricoBorghi1 Politics of little countries are somehow entertaining π. Sorry to break it to you, but nobody in either picture has any voice in what's happening in Ukraine... Zero.
@LiaQuartapelle Why? She is actually smart enough to know very well that Europe doesn't really matter. The 3 idiots can do 50 summits but the end of this conflict is solely between Trump and Xi.
