The wrong health spending cuts will cost Malaysia more than they save. Don’t touch primary care, emergency services, public health/communicable disease control, essential medicines, and MCH. Older Malaysians will be among the first to suffer consequences.

MOF says it’s only targeting “non-critical” spending cuts and core health expenditure will still continue. But MOF didn’t revoke its RM3 billion spending cut request to MOH. Instead, MOF cites postponing events, limiting overseas trips and utility savings.

Dr Dzul gave an assurance that “essential healthcare services – including patient treatment, emergency care, all core essential services, as well as the supply of medicines and medical devices – will not face any reduction”.

It said the cuts could cause delays, medicine shortages, and increased pressure on an already overstretched workforce.
It urged Putrajaya to reconsider, arguing that healthcare spending should be treated as a long-term investment rather than an area for deep cuts.

The Galen Centre for Health and Social Policy criticised a proposed RM3 billion cut to the MOH’s budget, warning it could strain public healthcare and endanger patients and healthcare workers.
Earlier, Putrajaya mooted RM5.4 billion in budget cuts across the MOH and KPT ministries to strengthen fiscal discipline amid the Iran war.
However, the MOF has assured that essential services will not be disrupted, reports NST.

Dr Dzul says he expects a cut of about 10% to MOH’s RM46.5 billion budget, but maintains that “essential core services” will be protected. A 10% cut is equivalent to RM4.65 billion, much higher than the RM3 billion cut initially suggested by the Treasury.

One thing I really cannot stand: people answering questions without precision.
If I ask “normally how long”, don’t say “quite instant”. That’s not a timeframe bro.
@dracosrevenge Instagram has been dying slowly. We just want to see our friends posts not 100 suggested posts with 50 ads in between them. The app just won’t last long
I’ve always enjoyed having friends 20–40 years older. They’re never asking about my “goals.” They ask if I’m taking care of myself. If I’m laughing ... and if I’m making time for the things that make me feel alive.
Some people ask why, at 30+, we suddenly have so many hobbies such as running, pilates, hiking, tennis, padel, golf, etc.
News flash: not everyone was born privileged. Some of us spent our teens & early 20s grinding just to survive. Now we finally have a bit of time and resources to chase the hobbies we love.
15 things to do with your mother while she is still alive. One day, you’ll wish you had.
1. Ask her about her life before you were born. She had dreams, fears, and a whole world that existed before she became mom.
2. Record her voice while she’s doing something ordinary like Cooking, Scolding, Laughing. One day, that voice will feel priceless.
3. Ask her what the hardest phase of her life was. She’ll probably talk about sacrifice without calling it sacrifice.
4. Learn one recipe she makes without measuring anything. Food is how many mothers express love. Appreciate the food she makes, you don’t know deep inside she will feel very happy.
5. Take photos of her doing everyday things.
Not posed or dressed up. Only Candid. These will mean more than any perfect picture.
6. Tell her thank you for things she never got credit for. She remembers everything, even if she never mentions it.
7. Tell her you’re proud of her.
Most mothers hear complaints far more than appreciation.
8. Ask her what she worries about the most.
Chances are, it’s still you.
9. Sit with her without checking your phone.
Just be present. That’s rare now.
10.Ask her what she wanted to be when she was young and listen without interrupting.
11. Hug her for no reason. Don’t rush it.
https://t.co/wuxftUs97U her even when you have nothing to say. One day, you’ll miss the sound of her answering.
13.Take a photo of just the two of you together. Frame it.
14.Ask her about her parents. Her stories keep generations alive.
15.Tell her something you’re struggling with.
No matter how old you are, it still matters to her that she can protect you.
If your mother is still alive, please do at least one thing from this list today. You’ll never regret it & take care of her health.
RT this for someone who still has time.
