@BrianGerhauser @TheBrattPack63 I get Vitek. But why has everyone given up on Akira Schmid so quick? Yeah, the series against CAR he kinda came back down to earth. But he played incredible against NYR and every time he played this season he put up at least respectable and at most fantastic numbers.

@CARCANES4LIFE @PierreVLeBrun @TSNHockey @TheAthletic because Blackwood's contract made it very impractical for the Devils to sit him. He'd be an expensive bench warmer or AHL goalie. They kept choosing Blackwood to not lose out on their investment in him.

He also turned around and stole the NYR series for NJ and every time he was called upon in the reg season, he delivered.

@dmddusseau Need I remind the #HHOF that Mogilny DEFECTED from the Soviet Union. He opposed the Soviet govt and I imagine he would have done the same to modern day Russia.
