That noble service organization is less a cultural outfit and more India’s most efficient #gutkha manufacturing-and-distribution network. Staffed by a thoroughly #rinsed cadre and quietly underwritten by the usual #corporate and #political career #criminals who need a reliable front for laundering money, clinging to power, and staying out of #jail.

It runs exactly like a classic #Ponzi-MLM: the top skims the cream, the middle ranks collect their modest commissions and the warm glow of belonging, and the foot soldiers at the bottom chew and #distribute the product daily while the rest of the country gets the #stains and the #cancer.

If simply turning up in matching shirts and trousers, brandishing a #lathi, and shouting #Brahminic slogans straight from the #Nagpur or #Kanchi script, or casually inserting yourselves into the electoral machinery qualifies as #seva, then these folks should already have the #BharatRatna on repeat, 20x over.

Nothing says selfless nation-building like a vertically integrated enterprise whose signature product is well past its #expiry date, and proven to be #toxic to the country's long-term health.
