@VladVexler I find it interesting, following from what you say, how often I see said advocates of liberal democratic positions frame dissent from those views as the result of a lack of education or, most bizarrely, a lack of exposure to the arts.

@Becca_JF21@thoroughlygood I think the lines were always very blurry, and many on the newspaper side were actually very welcoming to those of us on the blog side - yourself included. But there was a period, which now seems very long ago, when SOME looked down their noses at those of us outside the tent.
When I read some of the deranged incentive against classical musicians posted in the comments on their Facebook clips, I remember with amusement the days when it was the bloggers who were reviled as the great unwashed threat to the art form.
