Health Insurance (self employed) is such a joke.

We pay around $3500 a month for 4 people

Son went to the ER after a bike crash, no major tests or scans, basic blood work and exam. There an hour.

They billed $2800 ON TOP on a $500 co-pay and our insurance covered $568

It's so easy to see how medical bills bankrupt people. I am $9,000 OUT OF POCKET PLUS $3500 a month SO FAR in 2026 - maddening

Today is my brother Brian’s birthday, and once again he reminded me what unconditional love looks like. 🎂

Before I arrived, his physical therapist was trying to get him up and moving, but he just wasn’t mobile. The moment he saw me, that unforgettable smile stretched from ear to ear.

Even though Brian may be drifting a little these days, he will always be my little brother. He has taught me some of life’s greatest lessons: be kind to people, love unconditionally, don’t judge, and never underestimate the power of a smile.

@JulieChangRE Nobody gives a damn. I’ve noticed in the last year or so that my customers started really showing me more appreciation. 5 years ago they would not have given a damn or even acknowledge anything. Now they appreciate my follow ups and updates. Not that it equates to more money.

@JulieChangRE I have 3 pre teen boys. We have cleaning lady once a week and my house still looks like shit. My door handles and switches and everything else is probably gross. Plus instead of 1 second rule, it’s find it on the floor whenever and eat it, rule.
