Jets doing OL vs DL one on ones.
Armand Membou dominated his reps against David Bailey and Will McDonald.
Olu Fashanu held Bailey as he attempted a spin move.
Joe Tippmann won his reps against Jowon Briggs and David Onyemata.
The #Falcons and G Matthew Bergeron have agreed to terms on a four-year, $96 million contract extension, sources tell me and @JFowlerESPN.
The 38th overall pick in 2023 gets $60 million guaranteed in a deal done by @Chase_Callahan of @excelfootball.
It was a padless practice, with most of the reps in the red zone, but it’s noteworthy that none of Geno Smiths passes hit the ground. He was 11 for 11 (4 TDs) in 11 on 11 and 4 for 4 in 7 on 7. He caps the day by running barefoot wind sprints with the rest of the team. #Jets
The Atlanta Falcons announced the passing of Cristina Ulbrich, wife of defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich. She passed away Sunday after a long illness.
The team’s statement: “The Atlanta Falcons are heartbroken by the passing of Cristina Ulbrich, beloved wife of defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, after her courageous battle with cancer.
“Cristina was a devoted wife, mother, and friend whose strength, grace, and resilience touched all who knew her. She was a constant source of love and support to Jeff, their family, and the broader Falcons community.
“On behalf of the entire organization, we extend our deepest condolences to Jeff, their children, and all who loved Cristina. During this incredibly difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with the Ulbrich family.
“We ask that their privacy be respected as they grieve this profound loss, and we stand with them in support and remembrance of Cristina’s life.”
lolJets culture is so funny because from 1997-2011ish, the Jets were a very good football organization.
They made the playoffs 7 times, the AFC Championship Game 3 times, and were more often than not competitive and respectable.
Plaxico Burress was there at the tail end of that. He’s just grasping at the lowest hanging fruit because it’s trendy and easy to punch down at the Jets in the present day.
Many people can make a statement like this about the Jets and have it be brushed off as facetious exaggeration.
Burress is not one of those people. This is a phony take from someone trying to leech off a fad that he wasn’t a part of. It’s honestly a little embarrassing IMO.
The team he joined was one win away from going to the superbowl. I promise you @plaxicoburress, the only reason you felt like a loser is because you shot yourself in the leg like a fucking idiot.
Plaxico Burress compared playing with the Jets to prison:
"They're both kind of similar because when I walked into prison on my first day, I was like, 'damn man you a fucking loser.' And I had the same damn feeling every day I walked through the door with the Jets."
@LegionHoops@MylesEhrlich I wouldn’t be laughing if I was the most blocked player in the league, shoot 45% from under the rim as a big, and can’t even avoid it in an all star game.
