@Nartc1410@Enea_Jahollari It's not without its drawbacks—losing O(1) lookups and memory shrinking are the big ones—and it should be handled with care. In fact, it's yet unclear if we're willing to go forward with that particular change.
@elmd_ Not that I know of, but it's something that came up for Angular as well. We haven't gotten around implementing it though; like you say there's lots of cases to consider.
