A man is wanted for murder in a fatal shooting that occurred on New Year’s Eve in Oshawa.

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) said officers were called to 1040 Cedar Street, an apartment building, at around 2PM on Dec. 31 to investigate reports of an armed person.

Officers arrived and located a man shot inside the building. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was identified as 29-year-old Dennis Binda of Oshawa.

On Monday, authorities issued an arrest warrant for 44-year-old Michael Mills of no fixed address. He’s wanted for second-degree murder.
