@avramnotever People are probably going to try and argue with you about this but I’m one of the people you’re talking about. I am struck with awe and wonder when I visit places with culture (like you’re describing) in a way that is also very bittersweet because I’ve never experienced it
@antoritoC@TSO_Sage If yall are gonna give him this many excuses people need to quit putting him in bitw type conversations. He has a handle, and the ability to tell his teammates to give him the ball. Jokic or Giannis (both bigs) would never be given this type of leeway 5-8 years ago
@jkylemann Harper is cool but this is a ridiculous thing to say when we’ve seen guys like Derrick Rose, Westbrook, Ja, Anthony Edwards, etc. I think all of you at the ringer need to take some of Bills settle down juice on the guy who just went 5/18 in a game 2 nights ago
@spurs_muse So let’s be fair and just go with everything you said. Are Brunson and SGA still not allowed their space? You can’t just truck someone because they aren’t boxing out or making a play on the ball 😭
@LockCity_USA SGA is the poster boy for what is actually an NBA problem. The point of a foul is to stop an illegal play, not for players to exploit something that is only there specifically for their protection. SGA commonly breaks this “rule”, and it doesn’t make for a good viewing product
@LockCity_USA There’s gonna be a lot of BS in your replies but the real answer is that a lot of the fouls SGA draws are by the rule book fouls, so challenging is useless. The issue is that when he draws these fouls he isn’t really attempting to play basketball, he’s attempting to draw a foul
@bigdawggtjj He’s already a completely different player than he was like 2018-2021. He’s aged just fine and should continue to lol. People just don’t pay attention
@vitaminscoutt@samschwartz71 I think he’s saying the debate about it being a lot more nba players than you’d assume that could do it is over. No one is questioning whether guys like LeBron, Wemby, Giannis, etc could do it lol
@KirkEvans0 Same with the belief that they are allowed to play more physically on defense without it being called. How tf you want me to give you statistics on uncalled fouls?
@DATEBAYO___@nickernockerz@BALLOUTGFM@FEOFG@E_3O5_ We all just watched Coop do in the league was AJ was doing at BYU as a scorer. But sure, we can keep pretending Coop couldn’t have scored a fuck ton of points had he wanted to at Duke
@SANAMAC1@ThePettiestLA And just for clarification, I would much rather see players just play and the refs miss a few more touchy fouls than the product we’re watching where they *still* miss calls AND we have to see the bullshit flopping
@SANAMAC1@ThePettiestLA Ultimately it is an NBA issue. I think we can agree on that. The NBA has allowed the players to take advantage to this extent and the only way to fix the problem is from the top. None of that means anyone has to like the players who shamelessly do this bullshit man
@SANAMAC1@ThePettiestLA The point is that basketball is meant to be played like referees don’t exist. Referees are only there so that players can’t play illegally, or against the rules. Once a player starts playing with the referees in mind, it’s perfectly acceptable for viewers/fans to take issue
@PetrovichDoug@Josh810 Players for the most part already know not to “over aggressively launch into an offensive player who makes a pump fake” That’s a terrible description for what happened here and frankly most plays like this
@B_Lo_4Sho@Anthonysmdoyle Castle also had multiple TOs where Wallace or another defender had both hands on him, hand checking/grabbing. All the guards are being fouled. Wemby is the only one that is being fouled the way he is
