Free tonight? Interesting in becoming a #smallholder - or just started (especially if you're in #Devon)? You can still register to join us on Zoom at 8pm : https://t.co/bRafNXFWmh - this event is free and open to non-members.
The good people of @TSConnected - Devon Trading Standards to most of us! - will join us to share some tips and signpost good advice, but there will be lots of informal chat and unusually for a DASH event we're opening this to non-members as well as current members so please RT.

@SouthYeoEast It looks like paradise @SouthYeoEast - and we have a full house (well, full but appropriately socially distanced field but you know what we mean!). It promises to be such an interesting visit - thank you again and fingers crossed for cooperative weather....
There are a few spaces still available on our scything course. Scything is perfect for small holders whose grassland is not easily accessible by machinery @DevSmallholders@DevonWildlife 19th July, in beautiful Woolacombe https://t.co/le6Cm0zIJH Equipment supplied.
Our next members' meeting over Zoom is on 19 May at 8pm (a bit later than normal so that we can all enjoy the outdoors!). We'll be talking honeybees this time with DASH member David - register on https://t.co/dJDoW7EXGd
@BumblebeeTrust A creeping dwarf comfrey seems to be a real bee magnet (with a long flowering season from late winter to late spring). Willow is just going over here in Devon, but dandelions still in full flow. Also rosemary in flower - such a great noise from all the diners 🐝(but not today 🌧)
Interesting tips (and a good use for any spare, untreated bits of sheep fleece you have). Discovered the remains of a nest during winter that was full of baler twine :-(
Have you noticed some bumblebee pollen baskets are different colours? 🧡💛❤
This has nothing to do with the bee species. Different plants have different coloured pollen! Pollen baskets can appear grey, white, orange & red depending on which flowers the bee has recently visited.
