We all know that Jake Ferguson has a ball handling issue. But just how drastic is the rate at which he fumbles and drops the ball?
Since 2024 Ferguson has 7 recorded drops, as well as his league leading 8 fumbles for tight ends. Similarly, players such as Derrick Henry, Bijan Robinson, Breece Hall and James Cook all have around the same numbers.
The difference? These others are running backs with hundreds of touches both through the air and on the ground. Ferguson averages 4-5 touches per game in that same timeframe.
Fumbles to touches rate per player include-
-Robinson: 1 fumble per 118 touches
-Henry: 1 fumble per 108 touches
-Hall: 1 fumble per 75 touches
-Cook III: 1 fumble per 73 touches
Jake Ferguson, on the other hand, as a pass catcher only is averaging 1 fumble per 19 touches…. That is a GROTESQUE 42% rate. As well as a similar 45% dropped pass rate.
These numbers are that of practice squad players getting their first game action. Though Jake is a 5th year cornerstone signed to a 52 million dollar contract. It is needless to say that these rates get you cut, yet Dallas has invested their trust into a player who has not proven to be trustworthy. Even by his best buddy playing QB. It’s time to MOVE ON if you want to win now.
Jake Ferguson…. is a liability. #DallasCowboys #JakeFerguson
This is so disgusting.
I have struggled with mental health my whole life. I have a panic disorder and have considered to “call it quits” in many ways.
Shame on @stephenasmith. This is why men don’t seek help.
Seeking help continues to save my life
@espn do the right thing
“I feel this is a double standard for [Dak Prescott] compared to others who are saddled with awful defenses.”
@minakimes and @stephenasmith debate who's to blame with the Dallas Cowboys ✍️
When talk show hosts make ignorant statements in a debate about LeBron versus MJ or the Dallas Cowboys defense, it really is no harm, no foul.
But when talking about a serious topic, like mental health issues, it becomes embarrassing.

These penalties against Lassiter are REALLY bailing Brian Schottenheimer out.
Schotty has tried to throw points away SEVERAL times up against the goal line here.
Just take the layups, man! This isn't as hard as you are making it!
This is embarrassing. To react like this to someone standing up and pointing at you is just sad. Maybe if he drops a slur it would be different but all he said is “that’s on you”
The one downside of trading for McCarthy is the Giants run the risk of Skattebo realizing he isn’t the same person as Dart which might cause him to reject and eat the young qb
