The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

The era of AI has given birth to a new wave of excuses around ownership and understanding. "I got it from StackOverflow" has been replaced by "Claude wrote that".
Artifacts need human owners. When something has your name on it, you must be able to explain or defend it.
It isn't just code either. The same is true for documentation (a favorite task for AI delegation). Own the outcome of the tools you are using to produce any artifact.
In 5 to 7 years, UIs will be generated/streamed from the cloud, pixel-by-pixel. Phones/etc. will literally just be useless bricks with screens, speakers, and input.
That said, UIs won't be as dynamic as people expect. Imagine a new UI each time... that'd be so hard to use!

This week, I've started a new adventure with the Firmware Team at @emporia_energy! Looking forward to adding my expertise to their already impressive suite of home energy management devices.
Given my time spent with Android, I think it's really neat to see the Bluedroid stack being used as the default option on ESP32. I never would have thought you'd see that running on an MCU.

I stumbled across this post today and found it really insightful for performance tuning tips, especially on ESP32. Great comparisons!
