This was one of my first sketches with charcoal.
It's so much darker in person than graphite pencil, just a lot messier.
P.S. This is a bison, not a buffalo. Those are two very different animals but when I was young I'd always call these guys buffalo ๐.
Mini sketches of Hawaii.
The top left is the Hawaiian goose (the Nene).
Top right is a quick photo I snapped one morning.
Bottom left is an insane view of the beach line from a helicopter.
Bottom right is a rack full of kayaks for rent to get to a near by small island.
I wanted to draw a dairy cow because I grew up down the road from my grandpas dairy farm.
I remember watching the cows walk around and eat grass with my brothers. We'd have an absolute riot because we thought cows were hilarious.
Even though I don't love this drawing, it did what I wanted!
I sorted out some problems without wasting a bunch of time on a larger scale.
Now I have an idea for a better layout for this one.
I'll sketch it up soon!
P.S. Could you tell the 'deer' is a flock of birds?
