Some years ago, @HavardHaarstad, @PshheeK and I cooked up an idea, landed funding for a PhD project, then hoped whoever we hired would take ownership of it. What better person to see this chapter through to fruition than @devyn_remme, who led it well. Lovely to see this in print!
Agoras temanummer om Deleuze og Guattari har møtt kritikk fra norsk venstreside. Har denne venstresiden redskapene til å analysere fascismen i vår tid?, spør Eirik Høyer Leivestad. https://t.co/AP8t67SdJ6
Fantastic paper out by mates I feel privileged to work with (Shayan Shokrgozar, @devyn_remme@ryanjstock), provocatively and aptly entitled: “We Have to Convince Them Whatever it Takes:” The Climate Necropolitics of Energy Transitions in India and Zambia! https://t.co/RPYfZrWqtW
The 6th article of our Special Issue on “Political Ecologies of the Future” by Shayan Shokrgozar, @devyn_remme & @ryanjstock examines the Climate Necropolitics of energy transitions in India & Zambia

@PshheeK I believe there is a gender component to peaceful cooperation for mutual benefit v. Constant hobbsian violence, paranoid game theory & status combat... patriarchal societies go for the latter (maybe better indicator than western / non western at least sometimes)
Good spot @lars_coenen, nice to see there's other keen readers like you writing for @CityLab like @DavidZipper - and top work led by @devyn_remme in this case so also very heartening to see @JPIClimate ROLES project outputs coming in handy for policy-relevant discussions! @UiBCET
Today, 'climate champion' Norway approved *19 new oil fields*!
The smiling faces here are oil and energy minister Terje Aasland (2nd from the right) and oil company representatives.
Look how happy they are to ignore the IEA's and IPCC's recommendations for no new oil and gas!
@stinaeo @kristianaas @thokkitalk @Syklistenes Sant. I startfasen men kommer med utviklinger gjennom det neste året og alle som er interessert i å involvere seg må bare ta kontakt ☺️
This is a reflection of a central feature of modern propaganda: at a basic level, many people in politics and journalism just don’t instinctively see the criminal law as a place where we deal with the harms caused by the powerful.
@leashless It's not just time. I have had a terrible time trying to make friends in Norway. Forget other people with kids who wanna hang with me and mine. Although Norway is one of the least friendly places in the world...
@SFuntowicz @ee_schenberg But there is psilocybin in wild mushrooms all over the place. Norway has flein for ex... Patenting and commodification is of course a problem but research in itself? Also decriminalization due to increased knowledge of the benefits and debunking most of the risk seems good
