What I, Matiullah Jan, or other journalists and media outlets have reported so far regarding hospitals and casualities is the story of the day when the operation had not yet begun, and snipers were shooting down people one by one in different areas of the Blue Area. All these incidents were reported during the day time. The actual massacre occurred during the operation that started between 8 and 9 pm on the night of Nov 26, about which there is hardly any information available so far. The question still remains: what happened during the inhumane and fatal grand operation on the night of the 26, and why were bullets fired? It is necessary, yet difficult, to access information about that night, as hospitals and media were completely controlled after the daytime incidents.
