I'm really struggling right now. Depression has been hitting me hard, and all I've wanted to do is cry. I'm still in so much pain, my head has been hurting terribly, and all the stress has triggered a fibromyalgia flare. It's all becoming so overwhelming, and I'm feeling incredibly discouraged. Tomorrow I have an appointment with UAB's post-discharge clinic, where I'll once again be talking about everything that's happened during my care and the fact that the patient advocate never called me back. They were actually the ones who encouraged me to file another grievance. I just can't understand how a hospital that's supposed to be the best can leave patients feeling so unheard and defeated. Thank you all for continuing to keep me in your thoughts and prayers. It truly means more than you know. 🩷🫶
