A friend called me tonight after scrolling through Republican pages and conservative groups across Colorado. He asked me one simple question: “Why in the hell is everybody attacking Victor Marx or Greg Lopez, but nobody is attacking Phil Weiser?” He is absolutely damn right. Republicans are standing in a circle shooting at each other while Phil Weiser walks toward the governor’s office untouched. Half of you spend every day tearing down Victor Marx. The other half spend every day tearing down Greg Lopez. Meanwhile, Weiser sits back and watches Republicans do his dirty work for him. Shame on you! You don’t have to support either candidate. Question them. Challenge them. Make them earn your vote. But get your shit together and look across the battlefield. Phil Weiser has spent nearly eight years using the Attorney General’s Office to defend gun restrictions, obstruct federal immigration enforcement, protect the forced green energy transition and file approximately 70 lawsuits against the Trump administration. He even went to court to overturn a federal order keeping the Craig coal power plant operating while northwest Colorado faces lost jobs and the destruction of an entire community. Now he wants to “build on the progress” Colorado has made. Progress? Colorado families can’t afford homes. Insurance rates are crushing us. Energy costs are climbing. Rural communities are losing jobs and industries. Our constitutional rights are disappearing beneath permits, fees and government permission. I call that the march toward communism, and Phil Weiser is volunteering to lead it. He isn’t running to fix Colorado. He is running to finish the job. You think Jared Polis was bad? Girl. You’re frustrated cuz you set expectations they didn’t meet - which was show up and try to be on time. Perfectly reasonable expectations. BUT… There’s no gratefulness on their part. So your efforts are not being received or valued as you would expect. Adjust your expectations with calm and grace and stop giving it all to them so willingly. Move on, sweet girl, to those who ARE grateful for all you do!! BTW, I saw the pics you posted of the lovely meal you prepared and was jelly you aren’t my DIL. lol
