The UK implements sanctions on Russia within 48 hours.
Sanctions on illegal Israeli settlements will take a year to design and implement.
To make certain they don't work.
A double lie here from Ed Miliband:
1. He doesn't need to wait for the Supreme Court to rule on Palestine Action's proscription. The Burnham government could overturn the decision tomorrow if it so chose.
2. Miliband says no one's intent was to criminalise "grannies and vicars" for holding up signs. He's right. That's because the Starmer government imagined it could misuse terrorism laws to intimidate the respectable, white middle classes into silence on genocide.
The plan was to leave "brown" people isolated and exposed to the full force of the law if they raised their voices in protest. The Labour government hoped to associate in the public's mind opposition to genocide with supposed Islamic extremism. It massively underestimated public revulsion at the genocide and the UK's complicity.
Don't expect anyone in the establishment media, including Andrew Marr, to highlight either of these very obvious and salient points.
.@LordJohnMann is thug who should have been kicked out the Labour Party when he accosted Ken Livingstone in 2016.
But it was Ken, who's done more than anyone else in public office to fight racism, who was suspended instead. What a disgrace.

The front page of @ScotNational tomorrow is what every UK newspaper front page should look like.
But, as throughout the entirety of the genocide, it stands alone with a moral backbone, not afraid to tell the truth about the horrors the rest of the press whitewash.
Total annihilation. All backed and facilitated by Washington and London. Democrat and Republican. Labour and Tory
Nothing will be the same again. The mask is off. And it’s never going back on
Deproscibe Palestine Action and free all their prisoners, then
Yes, they got it right - and are rotting in British cells for 23 hours a day because of it
We need immediate action. Not more weasel words
Ed Miliband is right to say that people who have demonstrated in support of Palestine and against genocide were right all along.
Match your words, Ed, and de-proscribe Palestine Action, now.
Why does Roy Keane, the most opinionated man in the history of Irish football, have nothing to say about Ireland's opportunity to lead a sporting boycott of a country committing genocide?
Thank you, President Lula, for your words.
"In Cuba, the world watches in horror as collective punishment is imposed on 10 million people by an illegal economic and energy embargo."
In the UK They've been telling you "the Russians are coming" for 70 years.
They never came.
There was no plan to invade Europe. And there is no plan today.
It's all fear mongering control farming. Just like it was in 1976.
