Jaxon Hayes has absolutely ZERO connection to Slovenia. He has never played in Slovenia, never lived in Slovenia & has NO Slovenian heritage.

Slovenia has provided Hayes with citizenship due to “national interest”. Essentially, Slovenia has decided to give Hayes a passport purely because it benefits their national Basketball program.

It would be no different to Australia giving citizenship to a guy like Jaylen Brown just so he can play for the Boomers.

It is disgusting that there are reports suggesting Kyrie Irving, who was born in Melbourne, would be ineligible to play for Australia, while Jaxon Hayes gets the green light to play for Slovenia.
