@TechDeals_16 He doesn't care when you retire, he just doesn't want the social benefit to kick in at 65 because at this point it is one of the major contributors of our nation's debt. People are getting leaps and bounds out of social security beyond what they put in.
@TechDeals_16 Maybe I was off on my year by one. I was thinking that for almost a year I ate am double meal every day for $3, but it may have been a year earlier and I got a double cheese meal
@TechDeals_16@Microsoft Honestly I jumped because of Intel's scheduling and really I didn't notice a single difference. Along the way there have been nice things like rounded corners, tabbed file explorer and tabbed notepad ๐
@TechDeals_16 2/2 is paying you $18/hr and the full service restaurants I go to are paying their servers $25/hr just to keep them around before tips are even calculated. Most servers that I know make way more money than me because people just assume this is true with every state.
@TechDeals_16 1/2 I think the reason I don't tip 20% is because I am aware of how tipping works where I live. Where I live servers have to be paid minimum wage including their tips... That does mean that any tip they receive is included in that. However I also live somewhere where McD
@TechDeals_16 How about the X22 from the same place that's normally $5 less than this one and only $20 more than this one on sale. Is the 512MB cache worth it over the 256MB cache? This Christmas might be the time to upgrade my old 4x8GB Raid 10 with 2 of these in Raid 1.
@TechDeals_16 I doubt it, but the 2700x was the processor and platform that finally got me to upgrade me 2500k and my PC will never be the same. I took a little upgrade, then a few years later moved to top of the line everything and I'll now need to do that every 2-4 years ๐
@TechDeals_16 Oh, I don't doubt it at all, but 6 years ago 18TB EXOS was outside my price range :). Right now I never get beyond 25% usage on my raids while editing or rendering, so for me that's fine. It'd be a whole different story if I was doing random read/write.
@TechDeals_16 If I need to work immediately I have 5 SSD's with space :). If I made money with my fun side hobby, but I don't and I already bought the 4090 to give me render speed and the ability to scrub the 4k at 4x. I'm confused though, I can totally lose 1 drive with RAID 10.
@TechDeals_16 Oh, I know I'd love it as far as when I initially stick my SD card's in and they can transfer video at 250MB/s vs 100MB/s, however I never really worry about that transfer speed since it's once or twice a week and I'm not working with those files.
@TechDeals_16 It's not ideal, but when you can get them on in sets of 4 for $160 6 years ago it's what you do. They are in 2 4 drive raid 10's. I'm waiting really for one to fail giving me the excuse to replace a set with 4 16-18tb drives. For now in raid 10 they allow me to scrub 4k ๐
@TechDeals_16 I own eight 12+ year old 4tb drives that I got when they were about 6 years old. I've been eyeing these newer ones, but the price just isn't there vs new. I think it's gotta be 33% and under for me to bite
