Well, it's still possible and a must. For example, if you & your partner had accumulate wealth so much for both of u and your kids, the kids still need to learn on survival.

I wish I could give a lot of examples, but let me give some random ones:

1. Lets say your financial situation allows you to buy iPhones on monthly basis without breaking your bank, doesn't mean your kids 'need' to be equipped with iPhones at young age? No matter what is the current pressure/trend in their school, they need to be taught to have minimal-yet-fuctional phones. Start with affordable android phones. So that when they start working they can start buy (or u can top-up a bit) their "dream" iphones.

2. Same approach for cars. Even if you & your partner can afford continental cars, doesn't mean u need to equip them with continental cars. It's a huge NO. Let them work and achieve cars they want later in real life so that they understand the hardship in order to achieve it.

3. Same goes for accomodation. If we as parents can afford to buy property for our kids, train them to pay (without interest and cheaper price) to us in order to learn it's not easy to buy properties these days. It's not about the money pun, it's about training them about survival.

4. If based on the original post above, if it's about picking up at school, there must be an age limit where he/she should take school bus/van to be independent. Then when they start working, they should go on their own. Don't spoil them.

5. Masak pun sama, at one point the parents won't have time or energy to make packed food everyday. This is when the children (when they grow up old enough) need to be trained to either assist in cooking / buy food for the family.
