@jhallito @TJAltimore Just to round this out (because I think its an interesting issue), BYU had 64 mission kids on their 123-man roster in 2023 while Utah had 25 in 2020 and 22 in 2021. It looks like the 6-year window for "graduates" is definitely a factor in the disparity between the schools.

@jhallito @TJAltimore Looks like it’s a 6-year cutoff, not 5. Still captures a bunch of mission kids as non-grads. Utes don’t have as many mission kids as they did pre-PAC12. The number of transfers also has an impact.

@jhallito @TJAltimore I think there is a timing requirement that skews the numbers against mission kids. If I remember correctly, the graduation rate is based on a 5 year period. If you graduate after, it’s not counted. I could be wrong, but I remember Majerus used to get upset about this issue.

@sltrib What a headline and attempt to propagate a misleading overlybroad narrative. The reality is that many people of other faiths that live in the community where the Lone Mountain Temple will be built support the construction. Heard them with my own ears.
