Often described as “TOP GUN with stock cars,” the film reunited Tom Cruise with director Tony Scott. Though reviews were mixed on release, it has since become a cult favorite among racing and action fans.

Days of Thunder is one of my favorite Tony Scott films & you can tell that this film inspired last year’s film F1 featuring Brad Pitt. There are so many reliable actors in this who I enjoy spending time with, like Robert Duvall- who is no longer with us. Entertaining as hell

Of all that Jimmie Johnson has accomplished in his NASCAR Hall of Fame career, his three-peat in the Coca-Cola 600 stands out. Johnson became the first and only driver to win NASCAR's longest race three years in a row, doing so between 2003 and 2005 - which included a sweep of the May Charlotte races in 2003, a dominant display in 2004, and a dramatic win with a last lap pass and photo finish in 2005.

Johnson also added another Coke 600 win in 2014, and his Coke 600 wins account for half of his eight total Charlotte wins - including four in a row between 2004 and 2005
