A man who drugged his daughter and her friends during a sleepover, before raping one of the girls during a purported game of hide and seek in the woods, has been jailed for 15 years and a half years.
When the 47-year-old father's phone was seized by gardaí, they found encrypted vault footage of him raping the same girl when she was passed out at a previous sleepover a week earlier, as well as child abuse images of her, his older daughter and two more of his daughters' teenage friends.

The hosepipe ban is a useful window into how Ireland actually works.
Rich shareholders, who own assets like data centres and golf courses, and who pay a vanishingly small percentage of tax, are exempt from the ban.
Meanwhile working people, many of whom pay an effective tax rate of above 50%, can’t use a hose; can be fined €5,000; and are encouraged to turn on their own neighbours.
The selective hosepipe ban suggests Ireland in 2026 exists more so for the unequal benefit of domestic and international elites.
Ireland should, however, exist for the equal benefit of all its citizens.
Yes Ireland is for Irish people, but people can move to the country to set a life up for themselves, the same way I can do the same.
As humans it is our duty to help refugees in need. It’s geographical luck it’s them and not you.
The governments corruption is the problem!
On the Six One News Minister McEntee spoke about being horrified at the treatment of Irish citizens and called for sanctions on Israel.
Two hours later she voted against sanctions on Israel.
Enough said.
AI is coming for your jobs. It won't make your life easier if you can't afford your mortgage/rent/energy bills/ food bills.
Data centres will eat up your water and power, while destroying your land and your taxes are subsidising them. Billionaires get richer while you get poorer
@chadpbyrne@sseairtricity Check the meter. Had a similar issue with ESB years ago and they try put you off getting it checked by saying if there’s nothing wrong you have to pay €250 for technician checking. Turns out the meter was broke and then I had to chase my money back
One of the harshest and most devastating videos captured in modern history…
A young boy tries to comfort his little brother after the loss of their mother, while both cry in overwhelming pain and sorrow.
A heartbreaking moment that will forever remain in the memory of generations.
I just read that women in their 40’s are just becoming who they were when they were 16 except this time they love her. And I cannot stop thinking about this.
🇪🇸 BREAKING: Spanish PM Pedro calls for the IMMEDIATE ARREST of Netanyahu
He said: "Netanyahu launched the worst possible unjustified attack against Lebanon. His contempt for life and international law is intolerable. He is a criminal that must be arrested immediately.”
He also adds that the EU will suspend its Association Agreement with Israel very soon.
This is what true leadership looks like.
I don’t think people around the world realize how bad the attack on Lebanon was today. It’s BAD. Like 9/11 BAD. Hospitals are overflowing and do not have enough blood. We still don’t know what the death toll is.
This is TERRORISM. Pure and Simple.
April 8. Never forget.
@lil_doza If he was a taxi driver he’d know you can’t change the tariff on the meter. It’s automatic. I’m a driver and I know I don’t get any of this cos I’m a white Dub. Still get misogyny now and then tho
