This is the second self-inflicted shooting of a small child in Johnston County in less than a month.
We urge @SenatorBurr & @SenThomTillis to cosponsor Ethan’s Law, a child access prevention law.

One reason the red wave didn’t happen:
It’s really hard to win swing seats today if you’re not for gun safety.
Yesterday, voters said they wanted stricter gun laws by a huge 16 point margin. Of the 56% who favor tougher laws:
77% backed Democrats
22% backed Republicans

Over 250 survivors of gun violence are sending a letter to @SenSchumer urging him to advance the bipartisan House-passed Assault Weapons Ban of 2021 by adding it to must-pass legislation before the end of the year.

The House passed the assault weapons ban on July 29th. We join 250+ gun violence survivors to implore @SenSchumer to find a pathway to #PassTheBan before this Congress adjourns. The @POTUS is ready for the ban. #TheTimeIsNow to prevent other tragedies. https://t.co/KvspwyA4CN
FACT: Without Chuck Grassley’s efforts over more than half a century, Roe v. Wade would still be the law of the land today.
Let’s codify Roe by chucking Mr. Grassley out of office. #IASen
Wow. @shaqbrewster just said on MSNBC that lines are matching — or even surpassing — presidential election year rates in Wisconsin right now. Ignore all the polls. Get out there and vote, there is still time!
Florida Department of State sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Justice that states:
“federal election ‘monitors’ are not permitted inside polling places as it would be counterproductive and could potentially undermine confidence in the election.”
Democracy is in danger.
Good morning.
My name is Cheri Beasley. I’m a former public defender, judge, and the first African-American woman to serve as Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court.
And now, I’m humbly asking for your vote for U.S. Senator.
We're going to win this race. We're going to flip Ohio blue. We're going to expand the Democratic Senate majority.
And we're going to do it because of folks like you.
Today is the day. If you are not amongst the millions of Americans participating in the historic early turnout, then I will ask you one more time, VOTE FOR JAIME. Vote for Democracy. Vote for freedom. Do not leave anything to chance, use your voice and VOTE!!!
Today when you head to the polls, don’t just think about yourself—think about your children. Your mother. Your sister. Your wife. Your community. Your farm. Your neighbor. Your dad. Your brother. Your country.
I hope I’ve earned your vote. 🇺🇸
