I gave up work over 20 years ago to look after my autistic son, who has learning disabilities, I've been his full time carer all that time, I joined twitter to talk about autism, i myself am also autistic, after a while I started being asked for advice on autism , I've done many interviews including one in the new York Times, my advice comes from lived experience, end of the summer last year someone got in touch with me and offered me a job as a national EHCP family support coordinator, I will be helping families navigate the ehcp process, me, the guy that started out doing tweets talking about our daily lives and how hard it can be to get support....i start work Monday, my first salary position in over 20 years. I'm excited, I'm nervous, and I can't wait to start.
