The 'Compromised Bureaucracy' of Mamata Banerjee reaches a new low.

Is there any Constitutional Propriety left in West Bengal, or not? The visual evidence is clear, Diganta Bagchi, a sitting Member of the West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC), was seen yesterday sharing the stage at a political program for the TMC candidate in Bhabanipur.
The WBPSC is a Constitutional body tasked with the impartial recruitment of the State’s future Officers. How can the youth of Bengal expect fairness when the very people who are supposed to be 'Hon’ble Members' of the Commission are seen acting as 'Hon’ble Cadres' of the ruling party?
This is a BLATANT VIOLATION of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), as no official post holder should be endorsing a political party during an election process. Neutrality is the bedrock of public service, by participating in a political rally, Mr. Bagchi has compromised the integrity of his Office.
I strongly urge the Hon'ble Chief Electoral Officer, West Bengal, and the Chief Secretary of West Bengal to take cognizance of the incident and take exemplary action against him.

Ahead of the second phase on 29 April in West Bengal, several key developments have emerged. Around 41 people have reportedly been arrested in connection with the attack on BJP candidate Shubhendu Sarkar, and in the Pingla area, booth agents leaving their posts led the Election Commission to suspend them and order re-polling.

There are also rumours that cameras at polling booths can track who you vote for. That is not how it works. Webcasting is monitored by Election Commission officials at the district, state, and national levels to prevent malpractice like booth capturing.

High voter turnout, reported at around 92% in some areas, shows strong participation. Incidents of violence are being acted upon, and security forces, including central forces, are deployed to maintain order.

The key message is simple. Do not be intimidated by viral videos or rumours. Stay informed, stay calm, and exercise your right to vote.

Trinamool leader Nirmal Dutta has been arrested for threatening people and spreading a blatant lie that Aadhaar cards and voter IDs are linked, and that votes can be tracked through some app. This is nothing but an attempt to intimidate voters and undermine democracy.

This is the same monster who, in 2021, orchestrated a horrifying act of humiliation, forcing a young girl to dance naked on the day of the Assembly election results, simply because her maternal uncle was a BJP booth agent.
