SQL or NoSQL for a brand new saas in 2026? what's your default and why? ("just use postgres" is a valid answer)

[Shiva Dhali @dhalishiva]

every bug i fix in prod teaches me a test i should've written. very expensive school

ChatGPT can now make editable slides with PowerPoint export. would you trust AI with your next pitch deck, or is that still a human job?

LLM evals are like the gym. everyone agrees they matter. very few actually show up every week

[Shiva Dhali @dhalishiva]

OpenAI is retiring GPT-4o, 4o mini, 4.1 and 4.1 mini from the API on 14 Jan 2027. if your app hardcodes a model name, today's a good day to move it into config

[Shiva Dhali @dhalishiva]

every model launch thread:
day 1: "this is AGI"
day 3: "it can't count the r's in strawberry"
