Very intrigued by Aaron Nkrumah on the Nuggets Summer League team
- 6-7 guard with 6-10+ wingspan
- Rangy, active defender who makes plays
- Averaged 3 stls/game last year at Tennessee St.
- Had a game with 9 stls
- Averaged 18 ppg
- Began career at D3
@RuegerHoops and I discuss the idiocy of each and every NBA team that passed up on Tennessee State guard Aaron Nkrumah.

If Memphis doesn’t trade tonight’s No. 32 pick, I’ve heard they hold some interest in Aaron Nkrumah.
But the Grizzlies are indeed seeking more future second-round draft capital.
Memphis already netted five second-round picks by maneuvering down the board last night. The Grizzlies, sources say, also received a 2029 most favorable second of Detroit/New York/Milwaukee, a 2031 Dallas second, and a 2032 Detroit second, for sliding from No. 16 to No. 21.
No offers. No excuses. Just work. 💪🏾
2026 HBCU All-Star Aaron Nkrumah (Tennessee State University) shares his inspiring journey from receiving no scholarship offers out of high school to becoming a Division I conference champion and OVC Player of the Year.
Better, Late, Whichever!
No matter what excuse he could give, there's no good reason that it took @rowankent this long to analyze Tennessee State's Aaron Nkrumah and see the obvious: he's a strong prospect in the 2026 NBA Draft!

Tennessee State’s Aaron Nkrumah is one of the top sleepers in the class.
NBA Combine standout with an elite defensive profile w/feel, and shotmaking:
+4.9% STL (6th Nationally)
+3rd best D-playmaker in the class (@tipoffball@realLatifLove)
+1.3 A/TO
+46 3PM, 34% 3PT
First attempt at a 2026 NBA Mock Draft, mostly to attempt to simulate who could be available when the Kings pick in the second round.
Need to spend more time diving in to team needs.
Immediate takeaway: some players I like could drop, not sure they'd fit with the Kings though.
My biggest combine winners from today’s scrimmages:
• Ryan Conwell. Thought he was phenomenal at getting to his spots, making some tough shots and generating pace. Microwave type of scorer with 2nd round value.
• Matt Able. He is physically gifted for his age, can take contact and score plus showed off his range and was solid on defense. I love this kid’s upside whether he goes to UNC or stays in draft. If he’s with Michael Malone, oh man. Tar Heels cashing IN!
• Ja’Kobi Gillespie. Showed his second round value with quality shot technique and making the defense move. He really helped himself these last two days. Has improved his creation skills.
• Dillon Mitchell. The Swiss Army Knife out of St. John’s is a specimen athletically. Doesn’t need the ball to impact the game. Long defender, high level rebounder and had a variety of dunks today. There’s a place for him on a roster.
• Aaron Nkrumah. From D3 Worcester State to Tennessee State to the G League Combine to the Draft Combine. Solid shot form, very active hands defensively, disruptive too and at 6-6, good enough size that gives him second round value.
• Nick Boyd. He plays with swagger and it led to results in scrimmages. Boyd has developed a wide array of skills on offense that’s allowed him to become a really crafty scorer. Plucky on D today as well.
• Tarris Reed. The UConn product has really shown his physicality and improvement around the rim this week. Think he could be a first round pick. Controlled the paint for a wide portion of his game.
• Otega Oweh. The Kentucky product can fill it up with a wide array of skills and showed things that have to intrigue front offices for a second round pick.
My biggest winners from Day 2 of scrimmages at the 2026 NBA Draft Combine:
- Tarris Reed Jr. (UConn)
- Matt Able (NC State)
- Dillon Mitchell (St.John’s)
- Ryan Conwell (Louisville)
- Baba Miller (Cincinnati)
- Rueben Chinyelu (Florida)
- Aaron Nkrumah (Tennessee State)

Aaron Nkrumah's a true stud. Not surprised that he's got that NBA Draft Combine spot after standing out at the G League Combine.
I wrote about him this season. Clear T40 pick on draft night: https://t.co/DOniemRwUk
