What's up with Schengen countries? In the last 24 hours, I've heard of visa rejections from 3 different people.

All of them doing well professionally and could clearly prove they'd leave the territory in the promised timeline.

Devastated to receive a Sweden visa appeal rejection for the Advanced energy materials and technology congress conference Stockholm Sweden stating the reason as unmarried. Few colleagues from my institute received the same.

@MOS_MEA my sweden visa was rejected twice. The appeal forwarded to migration court in Sweden was also rejected stating that I should prove my social ties to home country as marriage/minor children.

@avishek_guin @TetrahedronSymp @sayanshee @SwedeninIndia @HMOIndia @PMOIndia @DrSJaishankar I'm scholar from IIT Madras &my conference was scheduled at Stockholm from aug 28-31. I applied for visa early and they have cited same reasons as yours for rejection. I appealed and got mail from migration court saying that I have weak social ties as marriage or minor children.

Can you kindly let know how many students, scholars, or researchers are aggrieved on the matter, please?

My thoughts as I apply for a visa for the 15th time: Where can international scholars be reimbursed for the time & energy spent on maintaining their legal status abroad? Like where is my thousands of hours for countless applications/emails/calls/interviews/documents..? #shame

Request @M_Lekhi Ji, Shri.@SanjayVermalFS, Shri.@AmbArunSahu for immediate intervention with regard to issuance of conference visa for IISc & IIT-KGP Indian scholars to attend TetrahedronSymposium-2023.

How many Indian students settled in Sweden in recent years with conference visas? The rejection from @SwedeninIndia does not augur well. Time for them to learn about Indian Institutes

But the embassy of sweden in india is not providing visas to attened the technical conferences. They doubt on my intension to return even though it was clearly mentioned in my cover letter.
