🚨 Rodrigo De Paul on Argentina’s mentality ahead of facing England:
🗣️ Reporter:
“How is this Argentina team so strong mentally?”
🗣️ De Paul:
“Before the game, we were discussing England’s comeback against Norway. We thought it was impressive. They looked strong defensively, dangerous going forward… a very complete team.
Then Scaloni walked in, listened for a moment and said, ‘Yes, very impressive. But remember, we’re the defending champions. We’ve come back from worse situations than that. And most importantly, they don’t have Messi.’
That ended the tactical discussion. Everyone started clapping, someone shouted ‘Messi,’ and within seconds the dressing room had turned “Messi” into a song.
People ask where our confidence comes from. Sometimes it’s difficult to be afraid when your manager finishes the team talk by reminding you that Lionel Messi plays for your side.”
🚨❤️ Leo Messi: "I’m sure Diego is enjoying this so much from up above. For him, this was always a very special day, and being able to give him this joy… I hope he celebrates it however he wants from up there and enjoys it.
"This is a gift for him too.
“We’re lucky to have lived in Diego’s era. I never wanted to compare myself to him, and I know he loved me. I choose to hold on to all the beautiful moments we shared. I know he’s happy and enjoying all of this.”
¡QUÉ GRUPO, CARAJO! 🇦🇷🤍🩵

Giuliano Simeone, emotional talking about Messi:
"Leo is 39 years old, he has everything a footballer could dream of and is still fighting like as the best. So for us, there’s only one thing left, give everything we have, run for him and for Argentina."
🚨 Messi:
🎙️ Reporter: "Leo, how do you always manage to find teammates like Enzo Fernández and Lautaro Martínez in those moments?"
Messi: 🗣️ "That's part of my job. If the opposition stops me from scoring, then I'll create the chance for my teammates. It doesn't matter who gets the goal - as long as Argentina wins, that's what matters most."
