5 Day Banking is not a new demand. The 8 March 2024 Joint Note recognised all Saturdays as holidays, with revised working hours to follow after Government notification. Bankers accepted the adjustment in working hours to make a 5-day week possible.

India’s entire financial architecture runs on 5-day week except bankers .Bank employees are still denied a basic, humane reform. modern economy demands modern work practices.RBI, Govt offices, LIC,RBI etc follow a 5day week .bank employees must too.
