This is precisely what is being attempted in India. Gen Z is being told that Sanatan Dharma is all bogus & it is discriminatory. Our scriptures are being distorted to poison impressionable minds.
I did a double take when I saw this…
Jump rope may not be among the most prestigious or widely followed sports.
But it demands extraordinary fitness, agility, coordination and reflexes & perhaps says something about a country’s broader sporting culture.
Like me, I suspect many of us have grown accustomed to seeing clips of athletes from other countries, notably the West, but increasingly China too, displaying astonishing skill and dexterity.
I confess I hadn’t expected any clip on the subject to feature an Indian team.
And then I discovered that, late last month in China, our team won gold in an event at a global competition.
Displaying not just athleticism, but creativity, bringing a uniquely Indian flavour to the sport…
Bravo!
A masterstroke by @GovtofPakistan under @CMShehbaz: With fuel hard to buy, they have devised a way to travel by floating their cars in the water. This is no flood but an innovative way to travel.
So sad to see Endians not appreciating the start-up and choosing to ridicule an innovative society.
Not done, paijaan!

When I learned about the Samavartana ceremony in ancient India while researching on India's educational heritage, I was simply mindblown by the verses from Shikshavalli in Taittiriya Upanishad that were chanted. And I thought why the hell are we not chanting these very verses when students graduate today? So much meaning, so much depth! But then I realized this ceremony was designed for Brahmacharis who have led a life designed for learning deep truths. Imagine a graduation ceremony culminating in a sacred bath for the student! All the same it made me feel good to see IIT Delhi including these chants at their recent convocation. We are still far from decolonization but perhaps even the symbolism of a timeless ceremony should be appreciated. More than anything it is fun to see the leftists frothing at the mouth over the 'Hindu' chants at an IIT convocation.
These are the daughters of India we should take pride. They fight all sort of adversities instead of succumbing to it, slog through life with their survival instinct and come out as real achievers!
Unlike the loser cockroaches who take it out on everybody else except themselves!
Talk about forgiveness!😲🇮🇳 @narendramodi
Modi just set the bar so high, that generations of World leaders will be hard struck to reach it.
If @realDonaldTrump could pay close attention to Modi, he might actually get back to good. 🙏
All I could say was. "Wow"
Glasgow 2014: Silver.
Glasgow 2026: Gold.

Mirabai Chanu, the whole Northeast is shouting from very far away, but shouting loudly.
She looks a bit older than me, so I’m not sure what to call her.
But she’s 100% my kind of parent. ✅✅
“If my son was at the protest?” Her answer deserves to be heard. 🫶🫶
Fall in the same DAMN group share
On the debate sparked by ‘Satluj’, I see many people here asking “why Hindus have never managed to align themselves politically in Punjab?!”.
As a Punjabi Hindu I feel this is because we have never managed to see Sikhs as separate from us. We have never really understood why we have been targeted and killed by Khalistanis.
Disputes over state boundaries, river water sharing, language…were these kind of petty reasons enough to tear the blood bond that Punjabi Hindus and Sikhs shared for centuries and start a lame separatist movement?! Was it not obvious that the country’s only martial community was being weaponised against itself by vested interests?!
Is it fair to blame all Hindus for the heinous crimes of 1984 for which only one political party was responsible?!
Is it fair to bury the thousands of stories of violence and rape by Khalistanis before 1984?!
To me, the widening rift between Hindus and Sikhs is a source of personal anguish.
A Sikh brother once said to me, “Hindus and Sikhs are like a finger and its nail: They are inseparable.”
Praying that all Punjabis can see past their anger, something which they are prone to, to find love and brotherhood again, which they are known for.

Winning against the Chinese. In China.
At the Asian Relay Championships.
Srabani, Sudeshna, Sneha & Tamanna in the 4x100 relay.
Power. Speed. Grace. Commitment.
But above all, teamwork.
This clip has it all.
I’m watching it on loop.
More of this please. 🇮🇳
Aging doesn't guarantee a slow decline.
In fact...
How you function at 60, 70, or 80 is largely determined by a few measurable physical markers.
Miss these signals, and decline happens quietly.
Here are 8 metrics that predict how well you'll age (and how to improve them):👇
The reality is:
Aging poorly rarely comes from one catastrophic event. ❌
It comes from slow losses in:
- Strength
- Metabolism
- Cellular Resilience
...all of which compound over decades.
These 8 tests will help you determine whether you're gaining or losing ground: 👇👇
1️⃣ Metabolic Health Standards
Targets:
- Waist-to-Height Ratio: < 0.5
- Fasting Glucose: < 100 mg/dL
- HbA1c: ≤ 5.6
- FFMI: Men >19, Women >16
Nearly 88% of U.S. adults have at least one marker of metabolic dysfunction.
Waist-to-height ratio is one of the best predictors of metabolic disease.
Simply put:
Your waist should be less than half your height.
Above 0.5 often signals excess visceral fat and systemic inflammation.
Low FFMI suggests insufficient muscle to protect metabolism as you age.
2️⃣ Sit-to-Stand Power Test
The goal is simple:
You want to be able to stand up and sit down 5 times in under 12 seconds (with NO hands).
✅ This measures lower-body power AND mobility.
❌ Not just strength.
Power & mobility decline faster than strength with age.
A slow time indicates declining ability to generate force quickly and move through full-range-of-motion.
Both absolutely KEY for preventing falls.
3️⃣ Loaded Ruck Walk
Your goal:
To be able to walk 1 mile with 20–25% bodyweight in under 20 minutes, breathing through your nose only.
Most people can walk a mile.
Few can walk a mile under load while maintaining aerobic breathing.
This serves as a proxy for:
- Cardiovascular fitness
- Hip and leg strength
- Core stability
- Bone loading
Plus... it mirrors real-world demands.
4️⃣ Push-Up Test
Your goal:
- 20 push-ups (men)
- 10 push-ups (women)
A 2019 Harvard study found men who could do 40 push-ups had dramatically lower cardiovascular risk.
Push-ups measure upper-body endurance AND systemic fitness.
The bonus?
There's no equipment required.
5️⃣ Grip Strength
Your goal:
60-second dead hang
Grip strength is one of the strongest predictors of all-cause mortality.
It reflects total body strength AND neurological health.
If grip declines: 📉
Functional independence often follows.
6️⃣ Cardiovascular Capacity
Targets:
- VO₂max > 40 ml/kg/min
- OR 9–9:30 mile pace
- Resting heart rate < 60 bpm
VO₂max is one of the strongest predictors of longevity.
If climbing 3 flights of stairs leaves you winded...
Your aerobic system needs WORK.
Zone 2 cardio and occasional HIIT improve this rapidly.
7️⃣ Balance
Target:
Single-leg stand, eyes closed, 30 seconds
A 2023 study showed people unable to hold 10 seconds had nearly double the mortality risk over 7 years.
Balance is neurological. 🧠
And if you don’t train it... it declines.
Falls are one of the biggest causes of disability in aging adults.
8️⃣ Mobility (Sit-Rise Test)
Your goal:
Score ≥8 out of 10
Lower yourself to the floor cross-legged and stand back up without hands or knees.
Each support point costs a point.
A long-term study of 4,282 adults found low scorers were 5–6× more likely to die over 12 years.
This test combines:
- Balance
- Mobility
- Strength
- Coordination
⭐ The Bottom Line:
You don’t need perfect scores in these tests.
But you SHOULD know your numbers.
People rarely age poorly from one big mistake or accident.
They stay busy and successful…
…and quietly lose capacity in the systems that matter most when they’re 75 and trying to stay on their feet.
And 4⃣ best rules for improving these markers?
1⃣ Eat real, single ingredient foods
2⃣ Move for 30+ minutes daily
3⃣ Strength train 2-3x / week
4⃣ Sleep 7+ hours per night
That's it.
Simple, not always easy!
