Neha : Why is the PMCARES fund not audited?

Eminent : Well the question is wrong. It IS audited. It is a requirement as per law to audit it.

Neha : But why CAG doesn't audit it?

Eminent : It's a charitable trust. CAG audits govt funded activities.

Neha : What's the difference? It's still public money.

Eminent : It's charity money. Meaning you don't have to contribute unless you want to. Those who contribute to PMCARES do it because they are happy with it. Govt spending on the other hand is exchequer money, i.e. taxes. Those you HAVE to pay. The two cannot be treated on par. CAG mandate is well beyond financial audit, they check efficiency of spending etc. That's not possible for an emergency discretionary fund anyway. Like PMNRF was also not audited by CAG for 7 decades.

Neha : Just because it wasn't done in the past, doesn't mean we shouldn't do it now.

Eminent : There are lakhs of charities in India. There is a separate process for auditing them. You want CAG to audit them all? If CAG starts auditing charities funding The Wire, Alt News etc you will start crying persecution.

Neha : Not other charities only PMCARES.

◾ Shami married #HasinJahan who was married before & had 2 daughters. She introduced her daughters as her sisters when they were dating. Shami said in an interview that he let it go that she had lied, accepted the girls & went ahead with the marriage

◾Hasin Jahan's first husband runs a small shop in West Bengal. She left her daughters with him

◾Shami & Jahan were blessed with a Daughter soon

◾Living a lavish life, playing in crores, posing pics of dinners with friends, showering love on Shami in public interviews, Jahan suddenly went all out calling Shami a womanizer and accused his entire family of dowry harassment, domestic violence in year 2018

◾Mohammad Shami who was one of ace performers in World Cup 2019, had his US Visa cancelled post that because of ongoing criminal & civil cases filed by his wife

◾Jahan made wildest allegations against shami of betting, match fixing, tying up with Pakistani agents & much more. He was immediately cut out from cricket. Later, BCCI found all these allegations a lie & Shami was brought back

◾Hasin Jahan has filed several cases on Shami including 498A, 307, 376 on his brothers (as per news reports) maintenance cases, domestic violence etc

◾She demanded 10 Lacs per month from Shami for her & daughter. Recently, Shami has been asked to pay 1.3Lacs per month maintenance to Jahan who is a professional model for her and Baby Aairah. If he had to pay from date of application in 2018, it becomes 78 LACS in total

◾At one instance, Hasin Jahan went outside shamis house and created ruckus. Shamis family had to literally run away from their place because of her shenanigans

◾This year, Jahan also accused Shami of having sex with prostitutes during BCCI tours, in her petition to Supreme Court to expedite her cases

◾Shami has openly spoken about how he's not been able to meet his daughter who he adores

◾The cases have reached no conclusion even after 6 years

PS: As per evidence available in public domain, it suggests that Shami was cheating on Jahan. But in 2018 itself, Supreme Court had decriminalized Adultery
