This tweet is about the recent spike in electricity bills. I live in a 1BHK apartment and have only 1.5 ton AC and an induction stove and I got Rs. 7010/- bill for the month of June, it was Rs. 3880/- last month (May 2026).

These are my bills before the New Electric meters got installed for my connection, I was using geyser all winters and usage was almost similar to present times apart from some AC usage which doesn't cause this much of electricity consumption.

My friend nearby lives in a 2BHK with her mother and last month they got 23,000 rupees Bill for electricity, this month with even lesser consumption, they got the bill of 29,000. Their home rent is just 13k. My maid lives in a 1RK with no AC or fridge, her Bill is near 5000.

3. I use BLUE STAR AC which gives me the app based tracking system of the hours of AC usage and I can prove I used even lesser AC in the month of June (I'll add the screenshot in this thread only). Before May, my bill was under 1000/- rupees only but now it's going thru the roof.

I visited the nearest MSEDCL office lastonth for complaint but they said the bill is fine and the amount is because of AC usage which I denied because I know I use these appliances very less. Still I somehow accepted their side and paid the bill.

@RailMinIndia @AshwiniVaishnaw @PMOIndia I tried booking a tatkal ticket today for the first time after @AshwiniVaishnaw Ji's assurance that fir 15-20 minutes will be not available for agents and "dalals" in tatkal time window and normal passengers will be able to book their tickets.
I never wanted to get into the frustration of booking a tatkal ticket and worry about the rampant corruption but it was necessary because I was doing for someone else.

I have added screenshots with timestamps for you to see that system was facing high load only until all available seats were booked. Sad state of affairs.
