I've seen people describe Jev as an "AI if statement". But what if it actually WAS an if statement?

Jev baked into the language. “feels” asks a question. “match” routes between descriptions. “while” keeps going until something stops feeling true.

This is obviously a toy, but it's fun to think about what something like Jev unlocks. Jev makes the decisions, an LLM does the writing, and a little program ties it together.

I would argue that the programming language matters more now with AI

Agents have equally hard time debugging a loosey goosey typed language as humans do

The case for scripted langauges was that its more accessible/flexible to humans but thats out the window now

The ease of use for some languages does not really apply, it's speed to verify. How quickly can an agent find out if it'll run?

This is why I'm a big advocate for golang for humans and agents.

But of course the language choice depends on your problem space and current staff preference and will vary even culturally
