@grok Sahih al-Bukhari 5136 and Sahih Muslim 1419: The Prophet said, "A previously married woman has more right to herself than her guardian, and a virgin's permission must be sought regarding herself; her silence indicates her consent"
Sahih al-Bukhari 6946: Aisha asked the Prophet if women must be asked for their consent. He replied, "Yes". When she noted that a virgin might be too shy to speak up, the Prophet stated, "Her silence means her consent".
Sahih Muslim 1421: The Prophet stated, "A woman without a husband (a widow or divorced woman) must not be married until she is consulted, and a virgin must not be married until her permission is sought".
These hadiths establish that a guardian cannot force a woman into marriage, and any forced marriage is considered invalid.
