🚨🗣️⛳️ #WELCOME BACK? — Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee says he thinks Phil Mickelson could still get welcomed back to the golf world amidst a report that he had recently completed rehab for personal issues
(Full interview via: We Need a Fourth Podcast)
“I think we’re in a pretty forgiving world… He’s obviously got his demons that he fights, and I wouldn’t wish them on anybody, but he’s not alone in fighting demons. I think if he hadn’t gone to LIV, he would have been Arnold Palmer reincarnated.”
“He would have been Ryder Cup captain numerous times. He would have been an honorary starter at Augusta. He would have been the lead analyst at CBS. He would have been the pied piper everywhere he went….”
“I think if he came back and said, “Look, I’ve made mistakes, I’ve tried to deal with them, sorry for the damage I’ve caused. The game’s been so good to me and for the rest of my life, I’m going to try and be good back to it…” I think everyone would put their arms around him and go: “Welcome back, sorry you had so much trouble, hope you get your life straightened out.”
“Life’s hard, it doesn’t matter who you’re talking into, running into. Everybody’s dealing with something… everybody’s got some battle that they’ve faced or will face.”
Do you agree with Brandel here?
To everyone who supported me through out the season, THANK YOU! ❤️ Appreciate you all more than you know. Now let me those pointing fingers in the comments👇
Looking to meet someone genuine, kind, and respectful. I’m open to getting to know each other, having good conversations, and seeing where things naturally go. No pressure just honesty, good vibes, and mutual respect. ❤️
Pete Golding was asked if he wished the Rebs had a game this coming week instead of a bye, so they could get the bad taste out of their mouth from the loss.
Pete's reply:
"I don't want them to get this taste out of their mouth. That's what I told them. Like, you know...I never got the taste out of my mouth from Miami walking off the field. You know, part of the problem, sometimes we move on too fast. And so when I said, the sun's going to come up tomorrow -- The sun is gonna come up tomorrow and it's a new day, but it's a new day to go get better at what we don't do well. And you better have that burning in your gut in order to go fix something. And so I think we have guys like that. We don't have enough guys like that right now. And that was kind of the challenge, you know, right there. We get to choose. That's the beautiful thing about this game. You get to choose whether you're going to go all in and do things right or not. And we get to choose who plays. And so it's our responsibility through the week to hold them accountable and make sure we're doing the things."
Take that beat down and prepare for the next opportunity. It’s football! Not the end of the world. 3-1 with a lot of football left!
Get to the film, Correct and get back to business!
