Today we celebrate our founder, Carl Sagan, on what would have been his 91st birthday.

Among his many gifts to humanity was the Pale Blue Dot. The image captured when the Voyager spacecraft turned its camera back toward Earth, revealing our world as a tiny, fragile speck suspended in a sunbeam.

In moments when humanity questions its path forward, we return to his words from that unveiling, a reminder that our smallness does not diminish us, but binds us to one another and to this planet we call home. On his birthday, we remember that from a single pixel of light, Carl Sagan taught us how to see ourselves anew.
