ગીરસોમનાથના પ્રભાસ પાટણમાં ભારે વરસાદ બાદ પૂર જેવા દ્રશ્યો સર્જાયા છે. વોર્ડ નંબર ૨ ની સોસાયટીઓમાં ઘૂંટણસમા પાણી ભરાઈ ગયા છે અને ગટરનું ગંદુ પાણી ઘરોમાં ઘૂસી ગયું છે. આ દરમિયાન રેમ્બો સ્કૂલમાંથી બાળકોને લઈને પરત ફરી રહેલા એક પિતા પોતાના સંતાનો સાથે પાણીથી ભરેલી ખુલ્લી નાલીમાં ખાબક્યા હતા. આ સમગ્ર ભયાનક ઘટના ત્યાં લાગેલા CCTV કેમેરામાં કેદ થઈ ગઈ છે. સ્થાનિક લોકોએ સમયસૂચકતા વાપરીને તાત્કાલિક તમામને બહાર કાઢ્યા હતા. તંત્રની આ ઘોર બેદરકારી સામે લોકોમાં ભારે રોષ જોવા મળી રહ્યો છે.

વરસાદમાં રસ્તાઓની આવી દયનીય અને જીવલેણ સ્થિતિ ક્યાં સુધી ચાલશે? પ્રશાસન અને સત્તાધીશો ક્યારે જાગશે ??
