You grow on social media in 2 ways
1. Your posts go viral unexpectedly: in this way, you get alot of temporary audience who is just there for short period of time and isn’t loyal. This brings you short term dopamine and you can this type of audience by rage baiting and shit posting
2. You grow slowly by sharing work: in this way, you won’t get alot of likes, followers or impressions. You’ll grow really slowly for example, I still haven’t crossed the 5million impressions mark and haven’t got payout even once but the audience and connections which I am building here over time are really useful and I am getting a loyal audience slowly over time
So if you want short term dopamine and growth, do shit posting and if you want good long term loyal audience who respect you, post about your work
