Ismael Saibari is an interesting choice for Bayern Munich but it makes sense if you think about it.
The profile of the player is in line with what Bayern have reportedly been interested in. High-pressing, high-intensity, and decent in all attacking phases.
Gordon also fit that role but from Bayern's perspective, €80m transfer fee + €15m-€18m per year reportedly was way too much (which is what Barcelona offered).
@zaisser@MusialaEra Not opposed. Always liked Julian Brandt but think his salary demands would be too high and wouldn't be okay with the role in my opinion
@Dmoneyman1997 Well, we could have been there but didn't have the composure or the bench. Easy to say that in hindsight. That said, it was very boring.
Arsenal, with the most delusional fanbase and haramball style, lost to PSG, the club built and backed by the Qatari government who has given the club nearly €1 billion to cover loses.
Both terrible in their own way...But the better squad won.
It doesn't quite work like that. Vincent Kompany highlights the profile he wants, not player specific. Scouting team identifies players who fit that profile. Eberl/Freund make contact with player or club to explore possibility of transfer. If everything lines up, the board along with eberl/freund/kompany make decision
I can only congratulate the people at Newcastle United for finding – let me use quotation marks here – ‘an idiot’ who paid that much money, because we certainly wouldn’t have done that in Munich.
I always get a good laugh when Liverpool fans talk about Bayern Munich getting humbled.
Especially since they finished 5th in the Premier League after spending €450m last summer 🤣
Leao has among the worst off the ball workrates in the Top 5 Leagues...
That workrate is critical to Vincent Kompany's system so unless the board believes that will change, Bayern Munich won't sign him.
🚨🚨 | 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: Rafael Leao's camp has OFFERED him to Bayern Munich. The Portuguese forward is reportedly open to a move to the German club. 😳

Uli Hoeneß really out here playing 5D Chess.
Claims FC Barcelona is broke.
FC Barcelona pays €85m for Anthony Gordon to show they aren't.
Bayern Munich sign Marcus Rashford for €25m to cover LW and Striker.
Kidding... but could you imagine?
@zPxrge@iMiaSanMia Yes, he would be a pressing machine and works incredibly hard but not worth that much in my opinion, especially when we maintain more posession
