10 PRAYERS YOU CAN SAY WHEN YOU VISIT THE BLESSED SACRAMENT.
Have you ever sat before the Blessed Sacrament and suddenly found yourself wondering, “What should I say to Jesus?” Sometimes, we want to pray but cannot find the right words. The beautiful thing is that when we come before Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration, we do not need complicated words. We can simply speak to Him from the heart. Here are 10 prayers you can say when you visit the Blessed Sacrament.
1. A PRAYER OF ADORATION.
“My Jesus, I believe that You are truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. I adore You, I worship You, and I acknowledge You as my Lord and my God. I kneel before You because You alone are worthy of all honour and praise. May my heart remain close to You and may I never take Your presence for granted. Amen.”
2. A PRAYER OF GRATITUDE.
“Jesus, thank You for loving me so much that You chose to remain with Your people in the Eucharist. Thank You for Your sacrifice, Your mercy, my life, my family and every blessing You have given me. Even for the blessings I do not recognize, I thank You. Teach me to have a grateful heart and to see Your goodness even in difficult moments. Amen.”
3. A PRAYER FOR FORGIVENESS.
“Merciful Jesus, I come before You knowing that I am a sinner. I am sorry for the times I have offended You through my thoughts, words, actions and failures to do what is right. Please forgive me, purify my heart and give me the grace to turn away from sin. Help me never to become comfortable with anything that separates me from You. Amen.”
4. A PRAYER FOR HEALING.
“Jesus, Divine Physician, I place before You every wound in my heart, every pain in my body, every burden in my mind and every difficulty in my life. You know what I cannot explain to anyone. If it is Your will, bring healing and restoration. But above all, give me the grace to trust You even when healing does not come in the way I expect. Amen.”
5. A PRAYER FOR YOUR FAMILY.
“Jesus, I place my family before You. Protect us from evil, strengthen our love for one another and keep us close to You. Bless our marriages, our children, our parents and every member of our families. Where there is disagreement, bring peace. Where there is hurt, bring healing. Where someone has wandered away from You, gently lead them home. May our homes become places where Your name is honoured and Your love is lived. Amen.”
6. A PRAYER FOR GUIDANCE.
“Jesus, I do not always know which path to take. You know my future better than I do. Please guide my decisions, order my steps and close every door that would lead me away from Your will. Give me wisdom to recognize Your direction and courage to follow it, even when Your way is difficult. Let Your will be greater than my own plans. Amen.”
7. A PRAYER FOR THOSE WHO ARE SUFFERING.
“Jesus, I bring before You everyone who is suffering today: the sick, the lonely, the grieving, the poor, the abandoned, those who are afraid and those who feel forgotten. You know every hidden pain. Please comfort them, strengthen them and send people into their lives who can help them. May they never feel alone, and may they discover Your presence in the midst of their suffering. Amen.”
8. A PRAYER FOR THE DECEASED.
“Lord Jesus, I entrust to Your mercy the souls of the faithful departed, especially those who have no one to pray for them. Forgive their sins, purify them and bring them into the fullness of Your presence. Grant eternal rest to them and comfort those who mourn their loss. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.”

Uganda now has two big telecom stocks on the USE: @mtnug and @Airtel_Ug.
Over the weekend, I asked myself If I could only own one, which should it be?
To start I looked at three years of audited results for both their prospectus, built a model, and compared them side by side.
At the time of my research Airtel Uganda was trading at UGX 187 and MTN Uganda was at UGX 445 on @USEUganda
I compared the two companies across 22 measures.
Here's the interesting stuff I found 🧵
🚨𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: This are the list of punishment Manchester city may face after being found guilty of 115 Premier League charges relating to financial breaches.
1. Removed from the premier league (they will start all over from league two)
2. Strip off of all Domestic trophies won (Premier league, FA cup and Carabao cup)
3. Huge fine and points deduction
4. Ban on transfers for 5 straight seasons.
In 2001 (exactly 25 years ago this coming Sunday) I did two things absolutely forbidden in the New Testament. I later realized both errors and had no choice but to walk away from both.
1. I started a Church and called myself the pastor of that Church. I stayed there for 12 years. There is no sanction or permission in the Bible for any person to start a Church and take to himself the role of pastor without apostolic appointment by an actual Bishop.
2. I brought that Church into a denomination founded by a woman in 1923 (Foursquare). There is absolutely no Biblical grounds for any Christian to found their own denomination and take to themself the ecclesial authority to ordain ministers.
In America and many other places…
- Anyone can start a Church
- Anyone can start a denomination
- Anyone can claim to be a pastor
- Anyone can start a seminary or ministry school
- Anyone can claim to be sent by God
- Anyone can ordain anyone else or even himself/herself
In the Bible, though, this is not possible. In fact, it is a great sin, though I was ignorant of it at the time. Once I became conscious of it, I had to walk away from the sin of schism. Jesus founded one Church. Six years after leaving that entire life, in His mercy, Jesus brought me into full communion with the Church HE founded: the Catholic Church.
In 1928, Alberto D’Apolito was a seminarian, preparing for ordination to the priesthood. During a few days of vacation, he visited Padre Pio in San Giovanni Rotondo.
One day, Alberto noticed Padre Pio staring out the monastery window at a mountain in the distance. He appeared to be deep in thought. Alberto greeted Padre Pio, but there was no response.
When Alberto drew closer, he realized that Padre Pio was not even aware of his presence. Alberto tried to kiss Padre Pio’s hand but he noticed that it was completely rigid. He heard Padre Pio say, “Ego te absolvo a peccatis tuis.” Padre Pio was pronouncing the words of absolution in Latin, just as he did when he was hearing someone’s confession.
Alberto ran to get the superior of the monastery, Fr. Tommaso. Fr. Tommaso rushed to where Padre Pio was standing. Padre Pio was still in the process of repeating the Latin formula for absolution when Father Tommaso approached him.
Suddenly Padre Pio shook himself, as though he was waking up from a deep sleep. He looked at Alberto and Father Tommaso and greeted them. “Oh, I was not aware that you were standing here beside me,” Padre Pio said. “I was looking out the window at the mountains.”
A short time later, a telegram arrived for Father Tommaso from the city of Turin. It was from the relative of a man who had just passed away. The telegram was sent in order to thank Father Tommaso for allowing Padre Pio to leave the monastery and assist the dying man.
It confirmed to Father Tommaso and Alberto what they had already suspected. Padre Pio had gone in bilocation to hear the man’s confession and to assist him in his last moments.
Padre Pio once told Father Parente, “I only know one thing, I go wherever God sends me.” On another occasion, he said to Father Funicelli, “All I can tell you is that I always try to remain attached to the thread of God’s will.”
Through the gift of bilocation, Padre Pio was able to visit many of his spiritual children who were in great need. He comforted those who were bereaved, came to the rescue of those in danger, and assisted the dying. It was part of his mission to souls. He truly remained conformed to the thread of God’s will.
It’s Sunday. It’s raining.
Go to Mass anyway.
Because today’s readings could not be more fitting.
“Seek the LORD while he may be found, call him while he is near.”
Think about that.
We spend so much of our lives assuming there will always be another Sunday.
Another chance to pray.
Another chance to come back.
Another chance to take God seriously.
And then Jesus tells us about the workers standing idle in the marketplace while the landowner keeps returning to call them into his vineyard.
Some came early.
Some came late.
But they still had to answer the call.
Maybe that is the message some of us need this morning.
Stop standing there.
Stop waiting until life settles down.
Stop waiting until your faith feels stronger.
Stop waiting for better weather.
God is calling you now.
So grab the umbrella. Let your shoes get wet. Walk through those church doors, genuflect before the tabernacle, kneel down and remember Who you came to see.
The rain will stop.
This Sunday will never come again.
And when God calls you into the vineyard, the only answer that matters is whether you went.
Her husband was an atheist.
He mocked her beliefs.
He tried to destroy her faith and later admitted:
“I nearly succeeded.”
She fought her way back and became deeply devoted to her Catholic faith.
Elisabeth Leseur didn’t just pray for Félix’s conversion.
She begged God to send her sufferings as an offering for his soul.
She developed breast cancer.
She suffered through surgery, declining health, and eventually death in 1914.
Before she died, she told Félix:
“I will die first. And when I die, you will be converted; and when you are converted, you will become a religious.”
He responded:
“Elisabeth, you know my sentiments. I’ve sworn hatred of God; I shall live in that hatred and I shall die in it.”
She died.
In 1923, the atheist husband, who had once tried to destroy his wife’s faith, was ordained a Catholic priest.
She offered everything:
Her prayers, her suffering, her life, for the conversion of her husband.
And God was faithful.
I sent UGX 400,000 to the wrong number. I realised my mistake several minutes later when the person who was supposed to receive the money did not send the customary message confirming receipt. I called. You sent it to the wrong number, she told me. I immediately rang the accidental beneficiary.
Instead of finding a frightened person wondering why UGX 400,000 had mysteriously landed on her phone, I found somebody whose theology had already processed the transaction. She told me that the previous night she had spent hours in church praying to God for a miracle of UGX 500,000. Then morning arrived, and providence, apparently using MTN Mobile Money and suffering a minor accounting error, deposited UGX 400,000 into her account.
She therefore had a complaint. Her miracle was UGX 100,000 short. Instead of returning my money, she asked me to be merciful and send the missing UGX 100,000 so that God’s promise could be fulfilled in full. I tried to explain that this was not divine intervention. It was human error. She disagreed and told me her daughter had not gone to school because she could not pay the fees. She asked me to stop looking at the transaction through the eyes of a man who had lost UGX 400,000 and examine it through the eyes of a mother who had spent the previous night petitioning heaven for UGX 500,000.
By the time she finished presenting her case, I had somehow moved from complainant to defendant. Worse, I was beginning to feel guilty for underpaying a miracle I had never contracted to perform. Bantumwe, I sent the remaining UGX 100,000 and to this day, I suspect that woman bewitched me. There is no satisfactory economic explanation for discovering that you have accidentally lost UGX 400,000 and responding to the emergency by voluntarily losing another UGX 100,000. She told me she was deep in Bududa. Landslides had carried away her home and crops. She also told me that relief items meant for people like her had been stolen, naming @AnitahAmong and Agnes Nandutu in her account of the mabaati affair.
By then, however, I was no longer conducting due diligence. I had already been appointed Minister of Finance in her miracle government. I had intended to recover UGX 400,000 but I ended the telephone call having paid the full UGX 500,000 she had asked God for. The most disturbing part is that somewhere deep in Bududa, that woman probably went back to church and testified that prayer works. And technically, she has evidence.

Today I attended service at a Catholic church, and I’m seriously considering joining the Pope’s people. Hawa watu hawana mambo mingi. 😂
You criticise their religion, they listen until you finish. Nobody is rolling up their sleeves to defend Rome. You came with your mouth, finish talking and go home.
They attend Mass, receive Communion, say Hail Mary, then some pass by their local for a cold beer.
From “peace be with you” to “weka moja baridi” without quarrelling with anybody. 😂
Nobody is inspecting your clothes. Wear the same shirt every Sunday until the collar gives up.
You came to see God, and God already knows that shirt.
No loudspeaker facing somebody’s cows, announcing that the devil has refused to leave the village. The church bell rings, and those who are going start walking.
And they’re not begging you to join. The church has been beside the road since your grandfather was a boy. You know the entrance. Ukijiskia, ingia.
What pleased me most was not being asked to stand up, introduce myself, say who invited me and explain whether I’m visiting or looking for a spiritual home. Yaani I can come and pray without giving the village my CV? 😂
By the time I left, nobody had recruited me into a committee or asked why my wife hadn’t come.
Very disciplined people. Somebody tell the Pope there is a man from Kingeero coming and I already know where the church is. 😂
You can walk into a Catholic church almost anywhere on earth and know exactly where you are.
You could be in Rome, Poland, Kenya, Mexico, the Philippines, or sitting in a nearly empty parish in Chester County on a Tuesday morning. You may not understand a word being spoken, but you will still recognize the Mass. You will know when to stand, when to kneel, what is happening at the altar, and why everyone came.
That alone is incredible. But then you remember what it took for the Mass to survive.
It was offered in catacombs when Christians had to hide. It was offered in prison camps, during wars, in Irish homes when the faith was persecuted, and in underground churches where being caught could cost people everything. Priests risked their lives to celebrate it. Catholics risked theirs just to be there.
Kings died. Empires collapsed. Borders changed. Whole countries disappeared.
The Mass continued.
And now I get to walk into my church on an ordinary weekday morning and step into the same worship Catholics have carried across centuries.
That is what gets me.
Catholicism is not tied to one country, one culture, one preacher, or one generation. The Church is bigger than all of that.
You can cross an ocean, walk through the doors of a Catholic church, and still know exactly where you are.
Home.
To the good people of God:
Praise be Jesus Christ, now and forever!
On Monday, September 14, I celebrated the Holy Mass for the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Hopkins, MN. Present were Chesterton Academy students, faculty and staff and parishioners of the parish. During the Mass, I had a private spiritual experience while praying the Eucharistic prayer over the bread and wine and I want to humbly share and clarify what I experienced all for God’s glory and praise. In doing so, I also want to correct any misinformation as the Mass recording is being shared online.
To clarify up front, my experience was NOT what the Catholic Church considers a “Eucharistic miracle.” The forms of bread and wine retained their accidents (i.e., their appearance and taste) during this entire experience. Never did I see real blood or human flesh with my eyes.
My experience was this:
During the consecration prayer over the wine at the altar, as I spoke the words, I was given what I believe to be internal knowledge of the power of these words being spoken and the reality of their effect to the point that I had difficult speaking. With each word, I became more physically overwhelmed as seen in the video. At the same time, I was given sensory knowledge of the weight of God’s power coming down upon the altar, and I felt the heaviness of Jesus’s substantial presence in the chalice in my hands. The chalice became too heavy to hold as I felt it pulled down to rest upon the altar. I felt my hands fixed to the chalice of the Precious Blood, and I could not physically move it. Attempting to elevate the Precious Blood, which I was not able to do for a period of time, I believe I was given grace to understand more deeply the bitter sweetness of Our Lord’s Passion and how much blood Christ shed for the immense weight of all our sins. I believe I experienced this weight in the chalice. This spiritual experience emotionally and physically overwhelmed me as evident in the Mass recording.
Lastly, private spiritual encounters with God like these are completely unmerited gifts and signs of God’s abundant love for all his people. They are not necessarily signs of any person’s holiness.
I pray this brief testimony moves all our hearts to contemplate more deeply the mysteries of the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist and the Precious Blood.
Peace in Christ,

Fr. Brent Bowman, a 44-year-old priest of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, was ordained to the priesthood on May 25, 2024.
He recently went viral after he was overcome with emotion and began weeping during the Consecration at Holy Mass.
As he spoke the words of Christ over the chalice, he said he was given an extraordinary interior and sensory awareness of the profound reality of Christ’s Presence and the weight of His Precious Blood.
He described receiving a deeper understanding of the bitter sweetness of Our Lord’s Passion and how much blood Christ shed for the immense weight of our sins.
The experience overwhelmed him so deeply that he was unable to elevate the chalice for a period of time.
What a profound reminder of the mystery taking place at every Holy Mass. ❤️🔥
Jesus is Truly Present with us at every Mass we attend.❤️
“For Mikel, the game doesn’t start in the dressing room – it starts in the team meeting a few hours before. On that day, it was the most interesting meeting of my life. I have never seen
something like that before and I don’t think I’ll ever see it again,”
Zinchenko said in his book, “Believe”.
“We had lunch in the hotel where we stay before home games. It’s always
the same waiters, the same familiar faces of the staff, whom I guess are
chosen for being very discreet. There was one guy, though, I had never seen
before, a waiter serving hot drinks. I didn’t think much about it. He must have been a new guy.
“In the final match-day meetings, we rarely sit down to watch any clips or
look at a tactics board. Mikel is doing them very differently, in his own
way. He will have us playing cards or little ball games to get those competitive juices flowing. He wants to switch us on, activate our minds. In
the first part of that meeting, he laid out lots of cards on a big table. They
had football terms like ‘man on’, ‘set piece’, ‘win your duel’ and so on
written on them. He said, ‘Okay guys, we need to start the game with
winning your duel. Who’s going to take that first card?’ You had to pick it
out before the other team at the other end of the table got there. It doesn’t
sound like much, but footballers are such a competitive lot, even a simple
game like that becomes fiercely contested.”
This is where it gets interesting.
“Then, for the second part, Mikel announced it was going to be another
‘players vs staff freestyle battle’. The other day, it had been me against
Nicolas ‘Nico’ Jover, our set-piece specialist, and I had won. So the
manager says, ‘It’s rematch today. Alex, let’s see if you can do it again.’ So
I get up and do a few tricks and so on.
Then it’s Nico’s turn. But he’s
holding his hamstring, saying he’s injured and can’t play. Mikel looks
around the room and says, ‘We need a substitute. Anyone?’ At that moment,
that waiter raises his hand. Mikel says, ‘Okay. You can try.’ And guess
what? This guy is killing it. He’s basically destroying us. He even nutmegs Saka. Everyone’s is looking at each other like, ‘What the fuck is this?’
Everyone’s cheering him on and laughing.
“Turns out he’s a professional freestyler with millions of followers whom Mikel had planted at the hotel as a waiter. You realise how much work must have gone into that behind the scenes. That guy was there for at least three hours undercover, serving up coffee and cakes and waiting patiently for his big moment. The mood in the camp was incredible after that. People were buzzing on the way to the bus. That whole thing really pushed the right buttons. But it happens so often. Every one of Mikel’s meetings is special.”
You cannot stop finding a way to win.
